For Ms. Kristy...

We're going to be PARENTS! Yes, you read that correctly. Johnny and I will be bringing home our brand new Vizsla puppy the weekend after Thanksgiving. He's in Orangeville Utah, about 5 and a half hours away. We really, truly, couldn't be any happier. Our little family is growing already. :) If you go to my other post on a dog, it's the rust colored puppy. Don't worry, real photos of our real dog will follow! Be prepared for photo overload...

I am not too sure who all reads these things, but needless to say I am not sure how much longer I'll keep this going. I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving. Time has just flown. Always seems to when it's this time of year. I can NOT wait to decorate the house for Christmas. I had a dream I decorated last night, and I kind of have a layout of where everything will go. Cheesy, I know. :) I am so excited though! School is almost out, thank god! I've decided to take a chill on trying to finish so quickly. I want to ENJOY the rest of this wedding planning, and not freak out with school and have finals, then a week later get married. This is supposed to be happening ONCE in your life, and I want to soak it up. I will be graduating in the Fall of 2011, only a semester later than I was supposed to. 5 Years of college for your bachelors degree...not too bad. It is supposed to take ONLY 4, but I figure with not knowing what I wanted to do after school and working, this isn't sooo bad. At least I WILL finish. That's what counts. Hopefully, by the time I am done, this economy will be turned around so I can get a job. I couldn't imagine going to school, finishing, and then there be no jobs for me to go to.

Anyway, enough of my blabber. I hope everyone in blog world enjoys a happy, healthy, safe, and relaxing Thanksgiving. Happy Holidays!

xoxo,
danielle

I am Drowning...

School has been so rough on me lately. I am not sure if it is the switch from CSN to UNLV or what the deal is, but I am struggling. I think it's because one of my professors has these crazy demands and expects us to know EVERYTHING. He doesn't give study guides, and my brain does not process EVERYTHING. My brain processes what it is supposed to know, why study for something that is not going to be on a test? This is college, I realize this, however, he treats us like we're getting our PHD through him or something. It's a little ridiculous to say the least. My other hard class is Biology. I really do not know what i was thinking in signing up for this class as my last gen ed. Seriously. It's really hard, but I am trying to do my absolute best. Plus, I have lab for biology, which, I might add is like having another class entirely. I guess this is preparing me for next semester. I have to take 5 classes every semester in order to graduate on time, and 3 classes this summer...which brings me to my next rant, why didn't I just decide what I wanted to do during my freshman year so I wouldn't have to play 'catch up'?? At least this semester is already half way over and I am close to being on break for 6 weeks.

On the positive note, this house is AMAZING! I am so happy to be moved in and settled a little bit. We still have a few major things to buy, but rome wasn't built in a day so who cares. It'll all get done in time, right now, we are learning how to compromise inexpensively, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am in love with my future husband and I am in love with my beautiful home. :)

Finally!!!

We are finally in! The unpacking isn't all the way done, but at least we're in! I am so excited to finally be in and have 1 less thing to think about. Setting up the internet was a 2 day process, but at least now it is working!! Johnny is happy that his Direct TV is up and we can watch t.v now.

What a beautiful mess! Now, I can't wait for all these boxes to be out of this house!!

We need a Vote...

John and I are having a little dilemma. We both want a new puppy when we move. He has his heart completely set on a lab, and I would prefer a Vizla. They both have the same temperament and they are both great dogs that love water. The difference between the two is Vizla's do NOT shed, and they are not known for their notorious chewing and digging habit. Labs do shed, and they are chewers...I've heard they never really grow out of it.

What do you think???

Is September 30th here yet??

I can't believe how fast time is flying, but at the same time, I am so ready to just move in and have this OVER with!!! One less thing to worry about and deal with! The house is coming along beautifully, and next week we have our final walk through. Then, September 30th we sign our lives away one more time and we get the keys for the house! We couldn't be happier right now! Here are recent pictures of how it's coming along..

they put an AC unit on the biggest side of the yard...kind of bummed about that, but whatever.
WE HAVE POWER!!! YAY!!!

The outside of the house. The landscaping will be put in soon!! :)
